Privacy Policy

How Votearly collects, uses, protects, and deletes the limited information needed to provide the application.

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Votearly mobile and web applications and related services operated by Votearly, LLC (collectively, the "Application"). In this policy, "Votearly," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Votearly, LLC.

Information we collect

When you create and use a Votearly account, we collect the following account information:

  • Email address
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Phone number, only if you choose to provide it
  • The password you create, which is converted to a secure one-way hash; Votearly does not retain your plaintext password

How we use information

We use this information only to operate and secure the Application, including to:

  • Create and maintain your account
  • Authenticate you and provide access to the Application
  • Communicate service-related information, such as account verification, password resets, and important notices
  • Provide support, prevent misuse, and protect the security and reliability of the Application

Diagnostics and service tools

Votearly uses Sentry on the backend to identify errors, diagnose failures, and improve service reliability. Sentry is not used by Votearly for advertising, session replay, or behavioral profiling. Diagnostic reports may contain limited technical context needed to understand an error. We do not intentionally send account passwords to Sentry.

Votearly uses Expo as mobile application build and update-delivery infrastructure. Votearly does not use Expo as an advertising or user-behavior analytics service.

Sharing and sale of information

Votearly does not sell, rent, or share personal information for advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may allow service providers to process only the limited information necessary to operate, secure, or troubleshoot the Application under their service terms. We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Votearly, our users, or others.

Data retention and deletion

We retain account information while your account is active and for only as long afterward as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and preserve limited backup records.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information or account by contacting help@votearly.com. We may ask you to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained when required by law or for legitimate security and recordkeeping needs.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know about, access, correct, or delete your personal information and to receive equal service when exercising those rights. Because Votearly does not sell or share personal information for advertising, there is no sale or advertising-sharing activity to opt out of.

California residents may exercise applicable rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, by contacting us. Votearly will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system can guarantee absolute security, so you should use a unique password and keep your login credentials confidential.

Children's privacy

The Application is not directed to children under 13, and Votearly does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

International access

If you access the Application from outside the United States, information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Application or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required by law.
